Palace building, that opens the ground level to the public in the morning (11am when we went).

Could only visit the ground floor. Then rest of the building was in use as somesortnof admin building. Arabesque style Court yard.Central foutain and some stone fascards.

. Amazing! Like a lot of the rest of the town, this Renaissance-style palace has somehow managed to survive the vicissitudes of the centuries to present this beautiful face today. It has obviously been modernised and restored, as it now has electric lights, central heating and modern plumbing, all unknown when it was built, of course! But it has been done so sympathetically that it does not intrude on the original splendour. You must go inside - it's a university college but just walk straight in - and see the cloister. You can sit there a while and ponder, read a book. Preferably not eat a sandwich - it is a place of learning and not a picnic place! Take photos - it's gorgeous inside and out. .
